How to Write a Search Engine Optimized Article
We will be discussing one method of Search Engine Optimization (SEO), somewhat boring but I’ll do my best to keep your attention as much as possible. Let’s start, whenever you hear the term SEO, always think of the people searching the internet. They need information and if they don’t have any specific address (website or blog) to go to, they will use search engines. They will type “keywords” relevant to what they want and as soon as they hit the “enter” button, it is the dream of many to be in the front page of the search results.
If you are into niche blogging (Just What is Niche Marketing) or blog promotion and want to increase your chances of landing in the front page, you will use keywords relevant to what people are searching for. You will spread those keywords in the contents of your blog, so whenever people type those words that you used, the likelihood of your blog being searched is enforced.
You have to do this strategically and you might want to know what are the common keywords being used relevant to your blog, the volume of searches and the competition. These information can be acquired from Google for free, click here (Google keyword tool). Go that site, type some keywords, view the report and you will have a clear picture of what people are searching for. Try experimenting the use of various keywords relevant to your topic, make a list and this will help you a lot in your blog promotion.
At this point, you now have an idea what keywords you are going to write in the articles that you will publish to your blog. Always remember, if you are going to use different set of keywords to each article make sure that those keywords are relevant to your niche blog. Search engines are being enhanced to make search results relevant as possible.
Now start writing your articles, spread those keywords to relevant posts and use them as much as you can, but don’t sacrifice the quality of your articles, insert those keywords appropriately only when needed, keeping your contents natural and interesting to read. If you overdo it and use your targeted keywords inappropriately, your article will lose its importance, visitors and readers will consider your blog a “splog” (spam blog). And don’t ever underestimate search engines, they will know if your spamming.
It takes creativity and practice to be successful in writing search engine optimized articles. Although we want to make our webpages on the top of search engine results, we must also remember that people are the ones who are going to read them. If you have something to say and your targeted keywords would blend perfectly, that’s good go for it, but if not, stay put, prioritize your readers and write for them.
